What Happens If You Don’t Pay Your Ticket On Time

by | May 1, 2024 | General Videos

When you receive a traffic ticket, you have 15 days to respond. If you don’t, you will be convicted. After conviction, the court gives you another 15 days to pay the fine. Missing this deadline results in an administrative fee in addition to the original fine. Further delays can lead to the suspension of your driver’s license, making you unable to drive.

Consequences of unpaid tickets can include a suspended license, demerit points, and higher insurance rates. Possible penalties are increased for serious violations like failing to appear in court, which can even result in an arrest warrant.
